Join North Beach Noir, presented by a group of cinephiles passionate about sharing films that are deeply connected to North Beach, San Francisco, and the city’s rich filmmaking history. Our focus is on films relevant to North Beach, as well as showcasing works from local San Francisco filmmakers. Every third Wednesday from January through May, Professor Seagull's Smartshop hosts free film screenings at its event space, Live Worms Gallery. March's film will be Woman on Pier 13 (1949), directed by Robert Stevenson.

A Knowledge-Based Approach to Medicine Work

Join us for an in-depth teaching on preparation, containment, and navigation of psychedelic states, led by Howard Whitehouse and hosted by the Church of Mother Gong. Howard will walk participants through the three supportive components of the traditional supportive context for psychedelic medicines. He will explain how these powerful technologies can facilitate Lucid Awakening. Howard will share a map to help prepare for experiences in the psychedelic realm so that one can derive meaning from these experiences for optimal integration.
